We are currently seeking a qualified HR Generalist to join our team at our White Plains, NY location. The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the HR department while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional employee experience. This position partners to deliver efficient HR administration, leaves of absence, employee relations, support benefit efforts, and maintain regulatory compliance across all personnel processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities for the Role:

HR Operations & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready employee personnel files, including I-9 documentation, policy acknowledgments, emergency contacts, and required compliance records.
  • Support HR Specialist with employee benefits programs, including enrollments, status changes, terminations, and open enrollment activities.
  • Lead offboarding processes by preparing employment documentation, payroll notifications, IT notifications, etc.
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, FMLA and state paid leaves.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries or employee relations issues from employees, and/or managers, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to HR Director.
  • Participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Support HR Director with workers’ compensation, audit preparation, salary review documentation, performance review process, and HR compliance reporting.
  • Maintain and update HR-related content on the company intranet to ensure timely and accurate information.

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Support
  • Support Recruiting team & HR Specialist where necessary with hiring lifecycle. Act as backup to HR Specialist

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HR processes, benefits administration, employment documentation, employment laws, and compliance standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) as well as Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

Wage Range: $65-75K a year plus additional benefit. In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
